Presentation - Social Action

Since its conception, the Clodomiro Picado Institute developed a social action program through which different sectors are trained to treat and prevent snakebite envenomings, all this as a part of its main activities, and in the interest of contributing knowledge about ophidism to society in general.

The CPI also has an extension program for vulnerable sectors, which aims to promote knowledge about snakes and snakebites in communities with higher risks of ophidic accidents. This program offers training to public institutions, agricultural companies, and educational centers in rural and indigenous areas.
