On July 9th, in an official ceremony, Dr. Alberto Alape Girón, director of the Clodomiro Picado Institute received the Inte-ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems Standard certificate from the hands of Lic. Mauricio Céspedes Mirambell, executive director of the Technical Standards Institute of Costa Rica (Inteco, for its acronym in Spanish).

This certificate is valid until 2016, and guarantees the continuous improvement of the production processes for immunobiologicals of therapeutic use, as well as biological, biomedical, and biotechnological research and social action in the area of ophidism
