Aarón Gómez Argüello

His researches have mainly focused in herpetology, immunology, hematology, and blood chemistry of reptiles, especially venomous snakes. He also studied ethology, mainly focusing on reproductive behaviors. Physiology is another area of study Gómez delved in, focusing mainly in the nutrition of venomous reptiles. Furthermore, he is interested in reptile toxinology, focusing on venomous snakes from the Elapidae and Viperidae families. Gómez has also studied the proteomic composition of venomous arachnids, particularly scorpions from Costa Rica. He has recently studied endoparasites in venomous snakes.
